A Lifetime in Music
Joel began playing piano at age 5, and guitar at age 11, and pretty quickly became obsessed with all things music. He formed a band in high school that went from playing garages to nationwide festivals and toured the country when he was 15-16 years old. Towards the end of high school, he became interested in other genres and went on to study jazz guitar and piano at the University of Colorado at Denver, earning a degree in music performance in 2003. He's been performing and teaching on multiple instruments ever since.
