Choose either weekly 30 min lessons (best for younger students), bi-weekly 1 hour lessons (often better for adults), or weekly 1 hour lessons (for the more serious student).
We'll start with the basics (terminology, mechanics, instrument-specific care and up-keep, tuning, etc.), then move on to fret-board theory, music theory, ear training (playing and learning by ear), sight-reading, soloing, improvisation, practicing with a metronome, singing and playing, song-writing, etc. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and we can study any genre... rock, punk, pop, folk, bluegrass, jazz, funk, classical... you name it, I teach it. I also teach students how to set up a home recording studio and get moving on home recording and MIDI using Logic Pro or GarageBand.
I strive to provide fun and informative lessons for all ages and skill-levels, while focusing on what you actually want to learn. Why did you decide to learn an instrument in the first place? We'll get to the bottom of that question together, and come up with a plan that fits your goals and needs as a developing musician.
Starting in March of 2020, in the wake of COVID-19, I began to offer online lessons, which means location is no longer a factor for anyone interested in taking lessons with me! They're going great, and are a great alternative to in-person lessons. All you need is a device (computer, tablet, phone) of some kind and a good WIFI signal, and I'll handle the rest.
